Oncidium Space Race Cocoa, broke the spike and it lives

I got this as a gift from Judi W. for my Birthday Jan. of 2021. It bloomed lovely for a very long time last year.
This year it began to spike in FEB 25,2021. iI broke the spike that week!! I splinted it and left it alone!!
4/17/2022 treated for little crawley things not ants, smaller. Water iso alcohol dish soap soaked 10 min. sprayed all over.
